Seeds of Peace Collective is pleased to announce they have finalized the schedule and location for a full Action Camp this July in Northern Wisconsin. The Camp will be located at Anathoth Community Farm near the small town of Luck, Wisconsin. (anathothcommunityfarm.org) It will run from July 6-27, and is composed of two parts: a Direct Action Training Camp and a Wilderness First Responder certification course with an added Action Medical component. Interested parties are invited to participate in one or both sections of the Camp.
The Action Camp will include trainings on non-violence, direct action, community organizing, blockades, guerrilla kitchens, group consensus decision-making, legal defense, affinity groups, and other topics. The
dates for the Direct Action Camp are July 6-14. The Direct Action Camp is free and open to all. Seeds Of Peace is requesting donations to help cover costs.
The staff of Aerie School Of Backcountry Medicine, based in Missoula, MT, will teach the Wilderness First Responder section. The WFR is a nine-day intensive course, at the end of which you will be nationally certified. The dates for the WFR section are July 15- 24. The Action Medical section follows, and will be taught by members of Seeds Of Peace and other experienced trainers. The dates for the Action-Medical section are July 25-27. All of our trainers are EMT’s or WFR’s, and are long-time medics.
Because Aerie supports the work we do, they have offered us a substantial discount on their usual fee. The fee for this course is $450.00. Because the entire fee goes to Aerie, we cannot offer discounts of any kind.
