According to news reports and other verifiable sources, protesters charged with minor misdemeanors or less will be cited and released within four hours, both in St. Paul and Minneapolis, if they have not already been arrested during the convention.  We believe that in Minneapolis, those individuals may actually be cited and released on the spot and not booked at all.  Detention and arraignment in both cities will take place in their respective downtowns, and court sessions are expected to be held through the weekend preceding and during the convention.

Ramsey County Jail is located at 425 Grove St., just northeast of Downtown St. Paul. Additional temporary holding cells are being built in a parking garage next to the jail.

Hennepin County Jail is located at 401 4th Ave. S., in Downtown Minneapolis.
